This renovation project included the transformation of an 8,000 square foot, 2-story historic fire station that utilized horse-drawn fire engines. Key project features include a lobby, counseling offices, children’s ministry classrooms, and an outdoor courtyard/performance venue.
The exterior character of this historic Crossroads District building was maintained by retaining the existing masonry exterior facades and graffiti murals while incorporating several large window openings offering expansive views of the adjacent exterior courtyard and city skyline. The building interior features exposed existing masonry exterior walls, exposed wood structure, and exposed steel columns and beams.
