Imagine if every person who is most likely to attend your church hung out at the same place.

Would you go there?
Would you put an invite on every car in the parking lot?
Would you find a way to get into that place and let people know that your church exists?

Of course you would! Yet the reality is that such a place exists. Itʼs called Facebook! With over 500 million members, most of the people in your community are on Facebook. So to not employ Facebook as a serious means of outreach is a serious strategic error.

Think about it: over 70% of registered Facebook users log in daily. Thatʼs astounding! It means that most people who are on Facebook are interacting on Facebook every day.

At Calvary Fellowship, the church I planted in Miami in 2000, we started using Facebook ads to reach those in our city who were unchurched. Our results have been fantastic! From the first day we started our ad campaign, weʼve seen people attend each Sunday.

Yet I quickly learned that our results were not typical. Why? I noted that churches were repeating the same 5 mistakes. Iʼve personally interacted with hundreds of Pastors and coached many of them in my Explosive Outreach Coaching Network. What I observed was these same 5 mistakes repeated continually.

One of the things that Iʼve learned about Pastors is that we get used to poor results and just live with them. When leaders hear about the fantastic results we get with direct mail, they are astounded to learn that we spend on average 50% less than the average church. Yet we see results that are 300%-400% times better than the average church. (I discuss our direct mail strategy in a resource called, “Direct Mail Secrets” which you can find at store.church-strategies.com)

I am literally grieved when I see the amount of money that churches are spending on outreach, only to see a .001% return on their investment. Not only is that ineffective, itʼs poor stewardship! So what I want to do is share with you the steps weʼre learned to getting great results advertising on Facebook.
